Join us with your children for a great afternoon.
The children will be in the kitchen with Fraser's chefs where they will prepare a selection of items. Each cooking class has a different theme. The parents will be out in the restaurant enjoying food and wine but are of course, open to wander in and say hi or take photos - it's all very informal.
The classes this year will be slightly more tailored with regards to age and skill level.
Our chefs aim to select the more difficult recipes for the older children, with more involved tasks and demonstrations, so that they are a bit more challenged. The classes for younger kids will be designed to be a fun cooking experience. It's a difficult task to get every child hands-on all the time, though we aim to involve every child as much as possible, and keeping the classes small (about 12) helps us achieve this goal.
If your child wants to attend but they're not within the age range of the groups, then feel free to contact us to discuss - as the age groups are only a guideline. If you have a 12-year-old boy who wants to attend the 'Muffins & Cakes' class aimed at 5-9 year-olds, he is welcome too - as long as he is aware of who the class is best suited to.
While the kids are hard at work, the adults will be enjoying a relaxing afternoon of wine tasting and gourmet nibblies out in Fraser's Restaurant. The cost is $35 per child and $35 per adult. One adult needs to attend to supervise the child(ren). The classes run from 3:00-5:00pm on a Saturday afternoon.
Each child will get a collection of the recipes made on the day to take home with them so that they can prepare the same wonderful meals at home. The children are also taken on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Fraser's kitchens and the Fraser's complex, where they will get a good feel of what it's really like to be a chef.

Thanks to everyone for their support through attending previous classes; it is greatly appreciated.
Shenade in our Marketing and Special Events department handles all bookings for these classes. She works part-time and the best way to book is to send an email or call and she will return all calls and emails in the order they come through.
*Please note that Shenade will be on annual leave from Dec 25th and returning to work on Monday January 17th - nobody else will be taking bookings for the classes, so if you leave a message or an email, she will respond (in the correct order as received) upon her return from leave, thank you.
Feel free to email Shenade to be added onto the Fraser's e-newsletter for Special Events, as - due to popular demand, we may always add more classes to the 2010 schedule. The chefs love hosting them though, as it puts the kitchen 'out of action' for an entire afternoon, it will depend on other restaurant and functions trade.
To make your booking or if you have any queries, please contact Shenade Unicomb on 9482 0102, or via email: marketing1@frasersrestaurant.com.au
